It doesn’t get much more festive than these cute little pear and brie bites!
The combo of crispy puff pastry, creamy baked brie, caramelised pears and salty prosciutto is kind of epic. All you need is a mini cupcake tray and a handful of ingredients to make these delicious appetisers.
Bottom line: you need to make these this holiday season. Maybe even tonight for dinner… because it’s always good to test out your recipes beforehand… plus it’s the perfect excuse to eat cheese and pastry for dinner.
Like many of my summer recipes right now, these bites are quick, easy, and use delicious summer produce.
The ingredients are simple and the assembly is even simpler. Start by greasing a mini cupcake tray and lining it with a slice of puff pastry. Place a small piece of brie on the bottom and a slice of pear on top. Bake for about 10 minutes.
When the brie has melted and the pastry is looking golden and crispy, remove them from the oven and top with fresh prosciutto. The salty prosciutto is perfect for balancing out the sweetness of the pear and creaminess of the brie… it takes these bites to the next level.
Be sure to enjoy them while they’re still warm and melty. Absolutely nothing not to love… so delicious!
