Sometimes you have those recipes that you just know you’re going to love. I feel like these noodles will be that recipe for many of you. Creamy Alfredo udon mixed with spicy, buttery prawns, it’s a combo we all can love.

First things first, you (of course) need udon noodles. You can pick them up from the Asian section at your local grocery store. Boil them just like you would pasta – delish!
While the noodles boil, saute the prawns in butter, garlic and paprika. Then to make the sauce add a splash of wine and some heavy cream. Don’t forget to season with salt and pepper!
By the time the noodles are done boiling, the sauce should be ready. All you need to do is marry the two together and dinner is done.
For the final touches, stir through a squeeze of lemon and some grated parmesan. Garnish with fresh parsley and voila!

CREAMY GARLIC PRAWN UDON NOODLES

Ingredients
1 tbsp butter
300g prawns, peeled and deveined
4 cloves of garlic, minced
1 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp cayenne chilli powder
splash of white wine
1 cup heavy cream
1 tsp fresh thyme
1 packet udon noodles
juice of half a lemon
1/4 cup Parmesan, grated
Directions
- In a large pan on medium heat, melt the butter and add the prawns, garlic, paprika and cayenne and season with a pinch of salt and pepper. Sauté for a couple of minutes. Add a splash of white wine, cream and thyme. Simmer for about 5 more minutes.
- Add the noodles to the sauce and keep stirring until they soften.
- Stir through the lemon juice and Parmesan and enjoy!
